- The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia Pacific Region is seeking sources to provide various market-ready subsistence items for Dept. of Defense activities in Hawaii and U.S. Navy ships visiting Hawaii. Types of market-ready items include various meat, poultry, dairy frozen vegetables, dry goods and juices. Examples of such items are: whole fryer chicken, ham, pork butts, chopped beef, beef rib roast, turkey deli slices, whole roast pig (lechon), huli-huli chicken, kalua pig, pork belly, pork loin, cheese (provolone, Monterey jack, ricotta), carton eggs, prepared coleslaw, dip (French onion, guacamole, ranch), coffee creamer (plain, French vanilla, hazelnut), tofu, frozen vegetables (tater tots, zucchini, cauliflower, vegetable blends), canned pineapple slices, vinegar, canned beets, various Oriental dry goods (e.g., panko breadcrumbs, pancit bihon, lumpia wrappers, jasmine rice), canola oil, steak seasonings, cake mix, yeast, cake icing, frozen tube croissant, seasonal pies (pumpkin, sweet potato), ice cream, assorted premium brand candy, haupia, sweet chili sauce, oyster sauce, salad dressing (Caesar, vinaigrette), spaghetti sauce, hot sauce, juice (lemon, lime, pineapple, Gatorade). This list provides a sampling of items historically ordered and is by no means a comprehensive list. To qualify, prospective offerors must have the capability to provide ALL of the market-ready items. Historical annual sales for the items are approximately $450,000 (April 2008 – April 2009). Contract duration is anticipated to be 12 months (base period) with two 12-month option periods, for a total of 36 months. Type of contract is anticipated to be indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity, firm-fixed-price with Economic Price Adjustment (EPA) provisions. Product Service Code 8905 (Meat, poultry & fish) and NAICS 424410 General Line Grocery Merchant Wholesalers (500 employees) apply to this requirement. This procurement will be conducted as a small business set aside and is limited to small business concerns. Interested parties shall provide the following information to the Government: (1) Name of company - include company address, a contact person’s name, telephone number, and email address; (2) Company size (please specify as either large, small business, or 8(a); (3) Describe in detail the firm’s capability to provide the items. Respondents should include applicable Dun and Bradstreet Number (DUNS), Tax Identification Number (TIN), CAGE code, and indicate if actively registered on Central Contractor Register (CCR). The purpose of this notice is to identify potential sources. ***THIS NOTICE IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT FOR PROPOSALS AND A CONTRACT WILL NOT BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. NO REIMBURSEMENT WILL BE MADE FOR ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING INFORMATION IN RESPONSE TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT AND ANY FOLLOW-UP INFORMATION REQUESTS.*** The Government will not pay for any materials furnished in response to this notice.
