Description
RECOVERY - THIS CONTRACTING ACTION IS BEING OFFERED UNDER THE AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA). THIS CONTRACTING ACTION IS A 100% HUBZONE SET-ASIDE. WORK UNDER THIS CONTRACT:A. This project includes providing all materials, labor, miscellaneous materials and equipment needed to demolish and remove 8 miles of 8 foot high woven wire fence and install 8 miles of 4 feet woven wire fence, 5 foot high, including steel pipe posts in accordance with attached specifications and drawings. B. To install 2 (14' x 4') metal pipe gates in accordance with attached specifications, maps, bid schedule, and as directed by the Contracting Officer. C. Dispose of all old fence materials from the 8 miles of woven and barbed wire fence removal and any other excess material from the project at a location off the refuge. It is the winning bidder's responsibility to locate this disposal site. BID ADDITIVE A. This project includes providing all materials, labor, miscellaneous materials and equipment needed to demolish and remove 6.5 miles of 8 foot high woven wire fence and install 7 miles of 4 feet woven wire fence, 5 foot high, including steel pipe posts in accordance with attached specifications and drawings. B. To install 5 (14' x 4') metal pipe gates in accordance with attached specifications, maps, bid schedule, and as directed by the Contracting Officer. C. Dispose of all old fence materials from the 6.5 miles of woven and barbed wire fence removal and any other excess material from the project at a location off the refuge. It is the winning bidder's responsibility to locate this disposal site. LOCATION AND INSPECTION OF SITE A. The site for this fence project is the Fort Niobrara NWR, approximately 4 miles east of Valentine, Nebraska on Nebraska State Highway 12. Prospective bidders may inspect the site by making arrangements with Project Leader at Fort Niobrara NWR, HC 14 Box 67, Valentine, Nebraska 69201, telephone number (402) 376-3789. B. Contractors are urged to visit the work sites and become familiar with existing conditions. Failure to ascertain the nature, location, and conditions which affect the work will not relieve the Contractor of from the responsibility for successfully performing the work without additional expense to the Government. GENERAL INFORMATION The estimated magnitude of construction is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. The total performance PERIOD is 230 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. This acquisition is a 100% Hubzone Set-aside. The NAICS code is 238990, All Other Specialty Trade Contractors, and the size standard is $14 Million. The solicitation package is anticipated to be available electronically on/or about June 25, 2009 with an anticipated closing date of July 24, 2009. Copies of the Request for Proposal, specifications and drawings can be obtained at http://www.fedbizopps.gov once available for issuance.
