- Description
- LTBMU Pope Beach / Baldwin Beach Toilet Replacements Project will replace three 40 year-old toilet buildings with accessible toilet facilities at the Pope Beach and Baldwin Beach recreation sites. All of the restroom facilities are located on the shore of Lake Tahoe. Work consists of demolishing and reconstructing. Improvements include: Constructing accessible walkways, constructing accessible restroom buildings, revegetation and implementation of temporary erosion control. Replacement of the one restroom at Baldwin Beach will be an option item, while replacement of two restrooms at Pope Beach will be considered the base bid. Pope Beach is located on the south shore of Lake Tahoe and west of the City of South Lake Tahoe in El Dorado County, California. The project site is located off of State Route 89, approximately 3 miles north of the intersection of Lake Tahoe Boulevard (U.S. Highway 50) and State Route 89 in South Lake Tahoe. The Baldwin Beach project site is located approximately two miles from Pope Beach traveling north on State Route 89. Government estimate is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Estimated start work date is August 15, 2009, contract time 180 days. NOTE: THIS IS SET ASIDE FOR A SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN.
