- JOFOC FOR TSI TRADE IN The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) MRP/EMSSD Facility in Riverdale, intends to Purchase of 14 new TSI Model 8038 PortaCount Respirator Fit-Testing units. Simplified Acquisition Procedures will be used per FAR 12. A firm Fixed Price Purchase order will be awarded. On or before 6/17/09. APHIS currently has 15 TSI Model 8028 PortaCount Respirator Fit-testing units. TSI has a GSA pricing schedule and also a "Trade in" deal for the old Model 8028 that APHIS currently uses. USDA has changed out 6 of the old Model 8028 units for the new Model 8038 units already. After this purchase APHIS will have 20 TSI Model 8038 PortaCount Respirator Fit-Testing Units located throughout the US. According to this special rebate program offered by TSI; USDA will be able to get either a $3,000.00 or $2,000.00 rebate for the return/trade-in of the old TSI Model 8024. This will allow them to get the new Model 8038 and save $26,000.00 on the purchase.
