- RECOVERY - A MARKET SURVEY is being conducted to determine the interest and capability of Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business contractors for the following proposed project: 1) Install wind turbine generator and photovoltaic panels (50 kVA) to supply electricity at Black Rapids training area and; 2) Transpired solar preheat panels on hangers/vehicle maintenance and maintenance shops at Fort Wainwright. Primary facilities at Black Rapids site include: 100-KW wind turbine generator to include tower, photovoltaic panels, electrical power inverters, control panels and appurtenances. Primary facilities at Fort Wainwright are Solar Preheat panels assemblies and ductwork to provide preheat to existing ventilation systems on hanger/vehicle maintenance facility. The estimated cost range for this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. NAICS is 237130. Size limitation is $33.5M. All interested Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business concerns should notify this office in writing by mail or e-mail on or by 24 June 2009, 2:00 pm, Alaska Time. Responses should include: (1) Identification and verification that the company is certified by the Small Business Administration as a Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business contractor; (2) Past Experience - Provide descriptions of projects substantially complete or completed within the last five years which are similar to this project in size, scope, and dollar value. With each project experience provided, include the date when the project was completed or will be complete, location of the project, contract amount and size of the project and the portion and percentage of work that was self performed; and (3) A statement of which portion of the work that will be self performed and how it will be accomplished.
