- NASA/DFRC has a requirement for network switch components as follows; these areFoundry Networks' part numbers and brand-name only: #NI-MLX-4-AC: NI-MLX Chassis, 1MR,2SFM, 1AC, fan (3 each); #NI-MLX-MR: Management Module, 1GB ECC em, 2PCMCIA, EIA/TIA-232(RS-232) Serial Console Port and 10/100/1000 (3 each); #NI-X-SF1: NI-XMR/MLX SFM (3each); #NI-MLX-1Gx20-SF: NI-MLX 20-port FE/GE (100/1000) with IPv4/IPv6/MPLS hardwaresupport (3 each); #NI-MLX-1Gx20-GC: NI-MLX-1Gx20-GC 20-port 10/100/1000 copper modulewith IPv4/IPv6/MPLS hardware support (3 each); #NI-X-ACPWR-A: 4-slot NetIron XMR/MLX AC1200W (3 each); #E1MG-TX: 1000BASE-TX SFP Copper, RJ-45 Connector (20 each);#E1MG-SX-1000Base-SX SFP optic, MMF, LC connector (50 each).This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared inaccordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additionalinformation included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the onlysolicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are beingrequested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Offerors are required to usethe On-Line RFQ system to submit their quote. The On-line RFQ system is linked above orit may be accessed at http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin=. The information required by FAR Subpart 12.6 is included in the on-line RFQ.The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the SimplifiedAcquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13.Questions regarding this acquisition must be submitted in writing (e-mail is preferred)no later than June 17, 2009. Prospective quoters shall notify this office of theirintent to submit a quotation. It is the quoter's responsibility to monitor this site forthe release of amendments (if any). Potential quoters will be responsible fordownloading their own copy of this notice, the on-line RFQ and amendments (if any).An ombudsman has been appointed - See NASA Specific Note "B".Any referenced notes may be viewed at the following URLs link below.
