Description
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has a need for Interpretative Exhibits, for Region 1, Region 7 and Region 8. This will be for one base year indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity services contract, with four additional years, not to exceed $10,000,000. Project sites will primarily be located in Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Hawaii and Alaska with occasional projects in other locations. Estimated issue date is June 11, 2009. This solicitation will be posted electronically at www.fbo.gov. Paper copies are no longer available. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service may award one or multiple contracts for these services. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered. All original designs and graphic layouts will be the exclusive property of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service even though they may be stored at the contractors facility to simplify the production of duplicate panels if needed. Ownership or use of original illustrations and photographs will be negotiated on a case by case basis. For consideration, the contractor(s) or approved subcontractor(s) must be able to furnish specifically: 1. Concept designs including:a. Onsite reconnaissanceb. Story researchc. Designd. Illustrated and written reports2. Interpretive prospectuses (camera ready)3. Schematic exhibit and visitor center plans-reproducible4. Exhibit and visitor center scale models5. Architectual renderings of exhibits and structures6. Detailed, 1/4 size exhibit layout drawings-reproducible7. Shop drawings for exhibits-reproducible8. Job cost and budget estimating9. Original illustrations in various styles for a variety of media-especially focused on wildlife and wildlife habitats, FWS owns originals10. Original illustrations in various styles for a variety of media-especially focused on wildlife and wildlife habitats, FWS maintains rights only11. Photo search, procurement, or shooting12. Type Specifications13. Copywriting including:a. Original researchb. Text writingc. Editing14. Photo processing15. Graphic layout and camera-ready art for exhibits16. Dioramas including:a. Designb. Shop drawingsc. Fabricationd. Taxidermy mountse. Carved modelsf. Resin modelsg. Botanical reproductions (vegetation, rocks, soil, etc.)h. Painted and photo murals17. On site construction and installation of kiosks, signs, ramadas, cases for Visitor Centers, or furniture associated with indoor and outdoor exhibits or visitor centers18. Producing items in 17 above in kit form for FWS assembly and installation on site19. On site delivery, unloading, and installation of exhibits and other materials20. Electronic programs, interactive games, lighting systems, Polar motion, videos, interactive videos, slides, robotics, etc. including:a. Design and programmingb. Scriptingc.
