Description
This project consists of replacing 3 existing treated timber bridges with new 46-foot span bridges having treated glu-lam timber abutments and precast concrete voided slab decks. The existing crib wall abutments will be disposed of and the longitudinally laminated decks will be salvaged. The bridges are located on the upper Greys River Road between 53.8 and 57.3 miles SE of Alpine, Wyoming. The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, tools, supervision, supplies, materials and quality control necessary to divert the creek, remove & salvage/dispose of the existing bridge materials, construct the bridges, shape and compact the approaches/roadway, furnish & place crushed aggregate base, hot asphalt surfacing and riprap. There will also be an additive item to crush and stockpile approximately 20,000 tons of aggregate at MP 53.7. The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, tools, supervision supplies, materials and quality control necessary to divert the existing creek, remove the existing culvert, construct the bridge, shape and compact the approaches and roadway, and pave the bridge and approcahes per the drawings and specifications. The project is located on the Greys River Ranger District, Bridger-Teton National Forest, Lincoln County, Wyoming. Offers are due at 3:00 p.m. MST, July 28, 2009. The estimated price range is between $500,000 and 1,000,000. A site visit meeting will be held on July 7, 2009. Interested vendors shall meet at the Greys River Ranger District in Afton, Wyoming at 10:00 am. Following the office meeting, a field trip will be made driving the loop from Afton south to the Smith’s Fork Road, along this road to Tri-Basin Divide, down the Greys River Road, past the bridge sites and material sources, and then on to Alpine. The field trip will take approximately 4 hours. The solicitation will be available on approximately June 26, 2009, and can be downloaded from this site at that time. All responsible vendors shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database. All responsible sources may submit an offer that will be considered. The proposed project listed here is a HUBZone set-aside.
