- TAS::57 3404::TAS ARRA XUMU 06-1136B, Renovate Training Facility at CE Horizontal Shop, Bldg 10719, fully funded by Recovery Act. Work efforts will consist of the renovation of Horizontal Building, Facility 10719 located at VAFB, CA. Work will include: Abate all materials to the interior structure frame of the building; Install new drywall on all walls and prime, texture and paint; Install new 2-foot by 2-foot suspended T-bar ceiling system throughout the facility with 2-foot by 2-foot light fixtures, including emergency ballast; Install a new surface mounted electrical panel for the electrical system with at least 5 extra circuits for future use; Install new semi recessed fire cabinets (3 total: one each classroom and office areas); Install ceramic floor tile on the non-tier floor area of the classroom and the storage room. Install carpet on the tier floor areas and all remaining floor areas throughout the facility; Install ceramic cove base tile for all ceramic tile floor areas and 4-inch rubber cove base for the carpet areas; Upgrade the existing half wall, bordering the tier seating area; Install new window metal frames and dual pane, insulated windows with new interior window treatments (1/2-inch size mini-blinds); Install new interior and exterior door frames; Replace all interior and exterior doors and hardware; Install new threshold for each exterior door; Install new properly sized central heating and air conditioning system and ducting; Install a dual overhead projector system, having a retractable wide screen and remote control capability. Install equipment similar in quality and type as that existing in the primary Disaster Control Center (DCC), Building 11439; Upgrade all communications (CAT 5e cable and RJ-45 receptacles) throughout the facility; Upgrade the fire detection system; Replace the asphalt on the East side of the facility so storm water will drain away from the building; Embed existing Base communications network wire and any other support systems within the walls.
