- Description
- The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency intends to issue a firm fixed price order for Radio Frequency Identification System (RFID) hardware and software from Zebra Enterprise Solutions. This is a sole source action with Zebra technologies Corporation and/or its distributors in accordance with FAR 13.5, since they are the only sources capable of providing the required hardware and software. The LOS device, also known as a location sensor, must be capable of receiving RFID signals transmitted by Zebra Technologies, WhereNet IV, secure, active RFID tags. Once signals have been received the device must be capable of collecting the imbedded data and transferring the data via an Ethernet cable. This data will be collected, stored, and utilized by Zebra Technologies WhereNet Visibility Server Software (VSS). As a result, this device must also be capable of interfacing with Zebra Technologies WhereNet Visibility Server Software (VSS). VSS serves as NGA's active RFID integration software and manages LOS operations in addition to handling data collection and distribution. The proximity exciter must be capable of interfacing with WhereNet Visibility Server Software (VSS) and activate and interface with Zebra Technologies, WhereNet IV secure active RFID tags. The NAICS code is 541512. The components will consist of the following: 305 each Whereport IV, model number WPT-3400-00DA 60 each WhereLan-LOS device, model number LOS-4100-01BC for secure areas 60 each Zebra Technologies Ethernet Power Injector, model number EP-022-00 60 each Visibility Server Software Lite 3.8, Model number VSS-10103-80AA 60 each WhereNet Indoor antenna Kit, model number AK-110-10 60 each WhereNet LOS bracket, model number RM-410-00 The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
