- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. There is no solicitation available at this time. This synopsis is issued for the sole purpose of conducting market research in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10. Watervliet Arsenal, Watervliet, N.Y. is part of (Tank Automotive Command-TACOM), and is seeking qualified sources capable of performing rebuild and retrofit of large machine tools, many with CNC capability required for cannon production at Watervliet Arsenal. The contractor shall furnish all plant, labor, travel, equipment, supplies, instruments, parts, and services which are necessary to perform these services. Typical possible machine tools would be: large bed lathes, grinders, milling machines and other unique machines. Contractors shall have 333512 among their approved NAICS Codes. All interested Contractors have 10 days from the publication date, XX June 2009, of this synopsis to submit their companys information. This information must include business size and evidence of capabilities and experience in the criteria above.
