- THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER W52H09-09-R-0249. NSN 1005-01-204-4349, Part Number 9346446, The item to procure is a BUTTON, DISASSEMBLY IS A COMPONENT OF THE M9 PISTOL AND IS MANUFACTURED FROM COLD, DRAWN STEEL ALLOY 8640 PER ASTM A29, GRAIN SIZE 5-8. SIZE IS APPROX 4.96 MM X 10 MM X 24.5 MM. HEAT TREATMENT REQUIRED. FINISH: 5.3.2.3 PLUS FINISH 30.7 OF MIL-STD-171. Requirements are Guaranteed Minimum Quantity 1,000 each. Maximum contract quantity is 50,000 EACH. Button, Disassembly. FOB is DESTINATION. For use on the Pistol, Caliber 9MM. Estimated issue date is 22 JUN 2009. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the date by accessing the following address via the internet: https://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index.htm CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capacity to satisfy the Governments requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. This is a 100% HubZone set-aside.
