Description
This is a SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS. This is a Sources Sought Synopsis announcement; market survey for information only, to be used for preliminary planning purposes. No proposals are being requested or accepted with this synopsis. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATIONFOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACTSHALL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SYNOPSIS. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Kansas City District has been tasked to provide Emergency Rock Stockpiles at Dam Projects throughout Missouri and Kansas. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities and qualifications of various members of the Small Business Community to include Section 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUB-Zone), and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) to compete and perform a Firm Fixed Price Contract. The type of solicitation to issue will depend upon the responses to this sources sought synopsis. The Corps is considering solicitation of contracts for establishing or supplementing rock and aggregate stockpiles at 7 dams, including Harlan County, Clinton, Hillsdale, Wilson, H. S. Truman, Pomme de Terre, and Stockton. Stockpile materials will consist of large riprap, bedding material, and road base aggregate. The riprap must be furnished from a list of approved sources. Materials will be placed in stockpiles not less than 6 feet high. Incidental work may include establishing or upgrading aggregate surfaced haul roads, stockpile pad areas, clearing/grubbing, and quality control testing.
