- Description
- The 319th Contracting Squadron intends to issue a solicitation for grounds maintenance services at Grand Forks AFB ND. The contractor shall be responsible for furnishing all equipment, tools, supervision, and services necessary to perform services as described in the Performance of Work Statement (PWS). Work will include, but is not limited to, maintaining grounds (mowing, edging, trimming, policing, leaf removal, pruning, etc), irrigation system maintenance, removing snow/ice from sidewalks, and tree trimming and removal. This acquisition will be done in accordance with FAR Part 12 (Acquisition of Commercial Items). Award will be made using price performance tradeoff (PPT) procedures. The resulting contract will be a firm-fixed price, requirements type contract. The basic period of performance will be 1 October 2009 through 30 September 2010, with the government's option to extend four subsequent years. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for HUBZone small business concerns. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 561730 with a small business size standard of $7M. The solicitation will be issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) on or about 25 June 2009, and the anticipated response date is 27 July 2009. Paper copies will not be mailed. Prospective offerors are responsible for checking the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website to obtain the solicitation and any amendments or other information pertaining to the solicitation; prospective offerors are encouraged to register for notification through FBO. All offerors doing business with the government MUST register in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to any subsequent award. CCR registration can be accomplished online at http://www.ccr.gov. Registration requires a DUNS number and may take up to three weeks to process. Additional information concerning CCR registration may be obtained on the CCR website or by calling 1-888-227-2423. Potential contractors must also register in the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) at Internet site http://orca.bpn.gov.
