- THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER W91CRB-09-R-0066. The US Army Research, Development, and Engineering Command Contracting Center, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005, intends to issue a solicitation using Full and Open competitive procedure for the Threat Systems Management Office who have a requirement for the Purchase and Delivery of forty-four (44) new or newly refurbished D-30 122mm Howitzer systems, which consists of 6400 Military Fire Control System, D-30 122mm Howitzer BII List (D-30 Zip Kit), D-30 Concurrent Spare Parts List, Operator and Maintenance Manuals located in the country of Afghanistan in support of Foreign Military Sales. A Firm Fixed Price Single Award Contract is anticipated for a period of performance not to exceed 12 months. Award(s) will be made to the best value proposal, which is determined to be the most beneficial to the Government based on the criteria set forth in the solicitation. The official release of the Request for Proposal (RFP) will be posted on the Army Single Face to Industry website https://acquisition.army.mil on or about 13 JULY 2009, with proposals due on or about 12 AUGUST 2009. At the bottom of the page, click on the link to Attachments. Download the solicitation as an MS Word attachment. The on-line version of the RFP includes all documents of the solicitation package. No hard copy of this RFP will be issued. Amendments, if any, will be posted at the same location as the solicitation. The complete solicitation package, including amendments should be received and reviewed prior to submitting a response. The proposal will be submitted in hard copy form only. No electronic submission of proposals will be accepted. It is the responsibility of those responding to the solicitation to obtain all amendments and/or other applicable documents.
