AMENDMENT NOTICE: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, in conjunction with FAR 13.5, as applicable, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is W26AEH13800006 and is issued as an invitation for bids (IFB), unless otherwise indicated herein. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-31. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 721110 with a small business size standard of $7.00M. This requirement is a [ Small Business ] set-aside and only qualified offerors may submit bids. The solicitation pricing on www.FedBid.com will start on the date this solicitation is posted and will end on 2009-06-09 14:00:00.0 Eastern Time or as otherwise displayed at www.FedBid.com. FOB Destination shall be FORT LEE, VA 23801 The US ACA FT Lee requires the following items, Purchase Description Determined by Line Item, to the following: LI 001, SHALL PROVIDE A RECEPTION AREA/ROOM ON 3 AUG 09 FOR INFORMAL RECEPTION SHALL ACCOMMODATE 120 ATTENDEES. THE EVENT SHALL START AT 1730 UNTIL 1930. SHALL INCLUDE 2 SERVICE PERSONNEL, PAY AS YOU GO BEVERAGES, AND LITE APPETIZERS OFFERED., 1, EA; LI 002, SHALL PROVIDE A FORMAL MEETING ROOM WITH OUTSIDE ADJOINING AREA LARGE ENOUGH FOR ONE REGISTRATION TABLE, ON 4 AUG 09. THE ROOM SIZE SHALL ACCOMMODATE 120 ATTENDEES FROM 0700 TO 1700. THE ROOM CONFIGURATION TO BE DETERMINED AND SHALL INCLUDE TWO HEAD TABLES WITH SKIRTINGS AND PODIUM. THE REAR OF THE ROOM SHALL PROVIDE SPACE TO ACCOMMODATE 10 EASELS AND FOUR EXHIBIT TABLES., 1, EA; LI 003, SHALL PROVIDE A SEPARATE ROOM FROM FORMAL MEETING AREA FOR A WORKING BUFFET STYLE OR PLATED DISH LUNCHEON ON 4 AUG 09, FROM 1200 TO 1300. THE ROOM SIZE SHALL ACCOMMODATE 120 ATTENDEES. THE LUNCHEON SELECTION AND STYLE TO BE DETERMINED., 1, EA; LI 004, SHALL PROVIDE A FORMAL MEETING ROOM WITH OUTSIDE ADJOINING AREA LARGE ENOUGH FOR ONE REGISTRATION TABLE, ON 5 AUG 09. THE FORMAL MEETING AREA SHALL ACCOMMODATE 120 ATTENDEES FROM 0730 TO 1700. THE ROOM CONFIGURATION TO BE DETERMINED AND THE ROOM SHALL INCLUDE TWO HEAD TABLES WITH SKIRTINGS AND PODIUM. THE REAR OF THE ROOM SHALL PROVIDE SPACE TO ACCOMMODATE 10 EASELS AND FOUR EXHIBIT TABLES. THE FORMAL MEETING AREA SHALL ACCOMMODATE 120 ATTENDEES FROM 0730 TO 1700. THE ROOM CONFIGURATION TO BE DETERMINED. (FUNCTIONAL SPACE SHALL BE THE SAME ROOM USED ON 4 - 5 AUG 09) SHALL PROVIDE FOUR (4) BREAK OUT ROOMS WITH AN AREA FOR TWO (2) FLIP CHARTS PER ROOM., 1, EA; LI 007, SHALL PROVIDE A SEPARATE ROOM FROM FORMAL MEETING AREA FOR A WORKING BUFFET OR PLATED DISH LUNCHEON ON 6 AUG 09, FROM 1200-1300. THE ROOM SIZE SHALL ACCOMMODATE 120 ATTENDEES. THE LUNCHEON SELECTION AND STYLE TO BE DETERMINED., 1, EA; LI 008, DURING THE PERIOD OF 4 AUGUST THROUGH 6 AUG 2009, SHALL PROVIDE LITE REFRESHMENTS ACCOMMODATING 120 ATTENDEES. SHALL BE SERVED IN ADJOINING AREA OUTSIDE FORMAL MEETING ROOM TWICE DAILY; ONE IN THE A.M (TO BE DETERMINED) AND ONE IN THE P.M. TO BE DETERMINED. SHALL INCLUDE COFFEE AND DECAF TEA THROUGHOUT THE DAY., 1, EA; LI 009, SHALL PROVIDE LITE CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST DURING THE PERIOD OF 4-6 AUG 09 SERVED IN ADJOINING AREA, OUTSIDE THE FORMAL MEETING ROOM, SHALL SERVES 120 ATTENDEES. SHALL BE SERVED 45 MINUTES PRIOR TO FORMAL MEETING START TIME IN THE A.M. THIS SHALL INCLUDE BEVERAGES, FRUIT, ASSORTED SWEET ROLLS, AND BREADS., 1, EA; LI 010, SHALL PROVIDE FROM 4-6 AUG 09, ONE FULL TIME INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT AVAILABILITY DURING FORMAL MEETINGS. SHALL PROVIDE THE AUDIO AND VISUAL EQUIPMENT FOR POWERPOINT PRESENTATIONS, MICS, AND PODIUM. MICS SHALL INCLUDE 1 PODIUM MIC, 1 - 2 HAND-FREE (CLIP-ON), AND 2-4 WIRELESS, HAND-HOLD MICS., 1, EA; For this solicitation, US ACA FT Lee intends to conduct an online competitive reverse auction to be facilitated by the third-party reverse auction provider, FedBid, Inc. FedBid has developed an online, anonymous, browser based application to conduct the reverse auction. An Offeror may submit a series of pricing bids, which descend in price during the specified period of time for the aforementioned reverse auction. US ACA FT Lee is taking this action in an effort to improve both vendor access and awareness of requests and the agency's ability to gather multiple, competed, real-time bids. All responsible Offerors that respond to this solicitation MUST submit the pricing portion of their bid using the online exchange located at www.FedBid.com. There is no cost to register, review procurement data or make a bid on www.FedBid.com. Offerors that are not currently registered to use www.FedBid.com should proceed to www.FedBid.com to complete their free registration. The offeror must provide within its offer the number of days - not to exceed 30 - required to make delivery after it receives a purchase order from the buyer.
