- RECOVERY: CANCELLATION OF PRE-SOLICTATION NOTICE FOR CONSERVATION OF THE FRENCH MONUMENT AT THE CYPRESS HILLS NATIONAL CEMETERY, BROOKLYN, NEW YORK. This project is being funded from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), National Cemetery Administration, is soliciting bids under Solicitation Number VA-786A-09-RA-0080 for the following: THIS PRESOLICITATION NOTICE IS HEREBY CANCELLED IN ITS ENTIRETY. Contractor shall provide all professional services, labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary for comprehensive repair, conservation, cleaning and other treatment as necessary of the The project is to conserve the French Cross Monument and associated headstones in Cypress Hills National Cemetery, Brooklyn, New York. Constructed circa 1920, the French Cross is 15' feet in height and is carved from granite. It rests on a granite base; attached to the base is a bronze inscription plaque. Directly in front of the monument are 21 affiliated granite headstones with attached bronze plaques dating to the same period. All work is to be done in accordance with the project deliverables and tasks. Proposals will be evaluated on the following factors in descending order 1. Technical Qualifications, 2. Past Performance and 3. Price. Factors 1 and 2 when combined are equal to price. CONTRACT DURATION: Performance period is approximately 60 calendar days from date of receipt of Notice To Proceed. NAICS CODE: 712120 SIZE STANDARD: $7.0 Million METHOD OF AWARD: THE GOVERNMENT CONTEMPLATES AWARD OF A FIRM FIXED-RICE SERVICE CONTRACT UNDER FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION. Award will be made on a competitive basis under Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR) 15 to a responsible business responding to this solicitation. OBTAINING SOLICITATION MATERIALS: Solicitation material consisting of the Request For Proposal (RFP) details may be accessed ONLY via FedBizOpps at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. No telephone requests will be accepted. The solicitation and drawings will be released for issue on June 23, 2009. SOLICITATION AMENDMENTS: Amendments to the solicitation will be up loaded to FedBizOpps.
