- Description
- The Department of Commerce/National Institute of Standards and Technology intends to negotiate on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), with Infolytica Corporation 300 Pariseau, Suite 2222, Montreal, Quebec, Canada for existing MagNet, True Windows GUI software (with Static 2D solver, Static 3D maintenance for Solver, Parameterization Module, Scripting, 3D Solid Modeler with OptiNet (with 2D + 3D Discrete and Continuous Optimizers). Infolytica Corporation, is the manufacturer and only seller of this software and corresponding maintenance contract. Continued maintenance for this software is required to maintain complete compatibility with a large body of work previously done for the Mass Competence project using this software. A fixed price purchase order will be issued on or about June 19, 2009. Interested concerns may identify their capabilities by submitting a capability statement that demonstrates in written narrative format their ability to meet the requirement and objectives as described in this synopsis. Capability statements may be emailed to Barbara.Suhrie@nist.gov. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This notice is not a request for quotation. A determination by the Government whether to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government.
