- Sandpoint Ranger District, Idaho Panhandle National Forest Bonner County, Idaho This solicitation is Invitation For Bids (IFB) The Trestle Creek Road Resurfacing Project involves preparation of the existing roadbed and the placement of crushed aggregate surface course on 13.2 miles of Trestle Creek Road No. 275 on the Sandpoint Ranger District of the Idaho Panhandle National Forests. Project will include commercially supplying crushed aggregate surfacing (Alternative A) or crushing out of a Government Source (Alternative B) with an estimated contract quantity of 10,000 tons under the Base Bid Items and another 10,000 ton under the Optional Bid Items. Work includes subgrade preparation; crushing, hauling, processing, compaction and quality control sampling and testing of crushed aggregate surfacing; equipment rental work and all other incidental work items necessary to complete the project in accordance with the plans and specifications. The Trestle Creek Road Resurfacing Project is located on Forest Development Road (FDR) No. 275 starting at Mile Point 0.0 to Mile Point 13.2 on the Sandpoint Ranger District of the Idaho Panhandle National Forests in Bonner County, Idaho starting in Township 57N, Range 1E, Section 11. To access the project travel approximately 12 miles northwest from Clark Fork, Idaho on State Highway 200 to Trestle Creek and County Road No. 808. On County Road No. 808 travel northeast 2.32 miles to the end of County Road No. 808 and beginning of FDR No. 275 (MP 0.0 and Forest Boundary). A pre-bid tour is not schedule for this project. Interested bidders are encouraged to visit the project site prior to submittal of a price proposal. Due to a Lightning Creek drainage closure order during the 2009 re-construction of Lightning Creek Road No. 419 (approximate MP 3.0 to MP 16.0), Contractors will need to make a formal request to visit the proposed Mud Creek crusher site under Alternative B (Government Source). Pictures of the site will be included in the contract drawings on FBO when the Soliciation is issued.
