- The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate a sole-source, fixed-price procurement with Taco Antenna, 5512 Bearcreek Drive, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050-1983, under RFQ 008992. This notice will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) Website ( www.fedbizopps.gov ). Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FBO site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The FBI has operational requirement for a quantity of 10 VHF/UHF Antennas 100-174 MHz/225-400 MHz. Based on market research conducted and contacts made with knowledgeable individuals within the government, and the related industry, it has been determined the FBI's requirement for the referenced antennas can only be provided by Taco Antenna as they are the only known source capable of providing UHF/VHF antennas within the required ranges. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations, however, interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement or submit quotes to this office by 10:00 am EDT, June 8, 2009, via email to the attention of: Margaret D. Einspahr, at meinspahr@fbiacademy.edu. Information received will be solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The North American Industrial Classification System Number (NAICS) is 334220 Radio and Television Broadcasting and Wireless Communications Equipment Manufacturing and the size standard is 750 employees. The awardee shall be registered in the Central Contractor's Database (CCR) and also the Online Representations and Certification (ORCA) at http://orca.bpn.gov
