- The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Medical Center, 215 North Main St., White River Junction, VT 05009-0001, intends to negotiate a sole source procurement for the Contractor to provide mental health care services via telemedicine processes and methods to eligible veterans in the immediate vicinity of Richford, Vermont. Services shall include but not be limited to: 1.Contractor must provide the services of Vermont licensed social workers with masters degrees to assist in the treatment of the VA patients before, during and after the patient telemedical conference with the VA mental health care provider. 2.Contractor must be able to supply information technology services as needed. 3.Contractor must have suitable permanent facilities for the treatment of VA patients, the housing of telemedicine equipment for the provision of mental health care services in accordance with VA rules, regulations and policies, and the provision of administrative support services. 4.Administrative support personnel must be provided. 5.Contractor must be able to meet all privacy and rules for the handling of patient health care information. 6.All services must be provided in or in the immediate vicinity of Richford, VT. This announcement is not a request for competitive quotations. Telephone inquiries will not be honored; however, interested parties may submit literature detailing how their services meet the VA requirements to the Contracting Officer. Responses received on or before June 21, 2009, will be considered. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice will be solely at the discretion of the government.
