- The 11th Contracting Squadron intends to procure a contract where prospective offerors are required to provide tactical cold weather gear to Bolling AFB, DC in accordance with the specifications and attachments that will be identified in the solicitation. The Department of Defense is looking for manufacturers/distributors of certain textiles and fabrics who can demonstrate compliance of the Berry Amendment provision of DFARS 252.225-7012. To be compliant with this provision, the materials used to fabricate the items must be produced and processed in the United States. The manufacturer or distributors must be willing to demonstrate that items sold to DoD Prime Contractors are compliant with Berry Amendment provision of DFARS 252.225-7012 as stated in current DoD policy guidance. A firm-fixed price contract award is contemplated. This is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 315299 with the business size standard of 500 (employees). It is anticipated the delivery date for most items will be 60 days after contract award, with the exception of certain items that will take longer than 60 days to manufacture. It is anticipated the solicitation will be issued electronically on/about 8 June 2009 on the Federal Business Opportunities web page at http://www.fbo.gov. Paper copies will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. Any prospective contractor must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be eligible for award.
