- Description
- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT FOR CERIUM-DOPED LANTHANUM BROMIDE GAMMA-RAY DETECTORS. The Naval Research Laboratory intends to award a contract on the basis of less than full-and-open competition to Saint-Gobain Crystals for a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 12 BrilLanCe 380 Cerium-doped Lanthanum Bromide Gamma-Ray Detectors for use in a prototype radiation detection system. The required large cerium-doped lanthanum bromide gamma-ray detector technology is protected under numerous patents, and is licensed to Saint-Gobain Crystals. These specific items are required for their unique light yield and fast response time. Vendors who feel capable of providing the supplies stated above shall fully identify their interests and submit written data or other verifiable documentation that demonstrates conclusively the capabilities of their proposed equipment to meet the stated requirements within 15 days after publication of this synopsis. Responses received after 15 days or without the required documentation will be determined non-responsive to the synopsis, and will not be considered.
