- The Project is for the Design-Build Construction of a Communication System to allow the DC Fire & Rescue Communication Signal to operate continuously within Capitol Power Plant (CPP) Utility Tunnel Distribution System, Washington, D.C., all as identified within this performance based specification prepared by the Architect of the Capitol (AOC). This project will be solicited as a Request for Proposal with intent to award a Firm-Fixed-Price Design-Build Construction contract. The solicitation and specifications will be made available on or about June 16, 2009. This solicitation and its associated information will be issued via Internet only and will not be made available in hard copy format. Notification of amendments shall be made via internet only as well. It is therefore the contractors responsibility to check the following address daily for any posted changes to this solicitation. For security reasons, all technical and engineering data related to this solicitation will be distributed using the Federal Business Opportunity (FBO) website (www.fbo.gov). Contractors registered for the solicitation may view and/or download this solicitation and all amendments from the Internet after solicitation issuance. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this project is 237130. The Small Business Size Standard is $33.5 Million. The magnitude of the project is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00.
