- Description
- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to issue a SF 1449 Solicitation /Contract/Order for Commercial Items to the Atlanta Marriott Century Center Hotel at 2000 Century Blvd., NE Atlanta, GA 30345-3306 to provide sleeping accommodations, We anticipate a total of 600 federal professionals, but only 30 rooms for overnight accommodations for 26 nights for the 2009 Epidemic Intelligence Service Officers Summer Course to be held July 01-July 24, 2009 in Atlanta, Georgia. Market research has determined that the Atlanta Marriott Century Center Hotel is the only known source of lodging and facilities with the resources available at this time for the period needed. The Government intends to evaluate offers and award a contract without discussions with Offerors providing the requested services. Therefore, the initial offer should contain the offeror's best terms from a technical and price standpoint. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 721110 and the size standard is $6,000,000 for this requirement. This requirement is unrestricted, allowing both large and small business to submit proposals. Interested vendors capable of furnishing the government with the services in this synopsis should submit two (2) copies of a quotation to the below address. The quotation shall include the itemized price, prompt payment terms, the F.O.B. Point (Destination or Origin), Taxpayer Identification Number (TNN), Dun & Bradstreet Number (DUNs), and descriptive literature of the service quoted. The quotation must reference Solicitation number 2009-N-11295. Quotations will be due fifteen (15) calendar days from the publication date of this synopsis or June 15, 2009, by 8:30 a.m. local time, whichever is later. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which if timely received, shall be considered by the agency. Quotations must be submitted in writing to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2920 Brandywine Road, Mailstop E-18, Atlanta, GA 30341, Attention: Linda Robinson or Email quotations will only be accepted if dated and signed by an authorized company representative to: LRobinson@cdc.gov. Atlanta Marriott Century Center is the meets only source large enough that honors the non-smoking ordinance for government conference policy. However, if any interested party believes it can meet the above requirements, it may submit a statement of capabilities. The capability statement and any other furnished information must be in writing and must contain material in sufficient detail to allow CDC to determine if the party can fully meet the requirements herein. The Government intends to evaluate offers and award a contract without discussions with Offerors providing the requested services. Therefore, the initial offer should contain the offeror's best terms from a technical and price standpoint. This action is pursuant to (41 U.S.C. 428a) and under the authority of FAR 13.5. The requirement will be procured as a commercial item in accordance with FAR Part 12.102(c) under the test program. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN SUBPART 12.6, AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTES ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The following provisions apply to this acquisition; 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors - Commercials Items (MAR 2000) applies to this acquisition; 52.212-2, Evaluation - Commercial Items (JAN 1999); the evaluation criteria stated in paragraph (a) of this provision are as follows: (1) technical capability of the proposed system to meet the requirements stated herein, and (2) price. The clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms & Conditions - Commercial Items (MAY 1999) applies to this acquisition. The following FAR Clauses are hereby added to this clause: 52.247-35 F.O.B. Destination; The clause at 52.212-5 - Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders - Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. The following clauses listed in paragraph (b) of 52.212-5 apply to this acquisition: (1), (3), (5), (7), (9), (11), (12), (14), (15), (17), (18), (20) and (24). OFFERORS SHALL INCLUDE A COMPLETED COPY OF THE PROVISION AT 52.212-3, OFFERORS REPRESENTATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS - COMMERCIAL ITEMS, WITH YOUR QUOTE.
