- The Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC) is seeking a qualified construction Firm with specialty and experiences to provide all labor, materials, parts, equipment, travel, and supervision in preparing the site of approximate 1232 gross square feet for housing the VA-owned CyberKnife Stereotactic Radiosurgery Systems to be located at 2002 Holcombe Blvd., Houston, Texas 77030. Interested offerors must submit valid proofs substantiating their specialty and experiences in preparing sites for housing medical imaging equipment of similar magnitude, complexity, and values as the CyberKnife Systems. A few examples of similar medical imaging equipment include MRI, CT scan, and linear accelerator. The work will be performed at the MEDVAMC, 2002 Holcombe Blvd., Houston, Texas 77030. This procurement is full and open competition, and the NAICS Codes is 238910 with a small business size standard of $14 million. The magnitude of this project will range between $250,000 and $500,000. The request for proposal (RFP) excluding plans will be tentatively available for download from www.fbo.gov on June 3, 2009, and request for plans must be submitted via outlook to: Namphuong.nguyen@va.gov. Interested bidders who request plans to be shipped to them will be responsible for shipping charges. The closing date for submitting proposal is June 15, 2009. Interested offerors are solely responsible for monitoring website www.fbo.gov for amendment(s) to the RFP if any and acknowledging them in accordance with the requirements stipulated in the amendments. All questions related to this announcement and the RFP must be in writing and emailed to contracting officer, Nam-Phuong Nguyen at Namphuong.nguyen@va.gov. Faxed inquiries and faxed proposals are NOT allowed. As of October 1, 2003, all Contractors, both large and small, are required to register in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database before an award.
