- ERDC Contracting Office intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 to Apple, Inc., 1 Infinite Loop, Cupertinol, CA 95014. Thisi procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP)-only one responsible source and no other supples or services will satisfy agency requirements. Apple, Inc. is the only known source capable of meeting the Government's requirements due to the unique capability to provide support and service for the Unix based operating system. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:00 CST on 29 May 2009. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. No RFP will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent. Interested parties may submit any information for consideration by the Government to Ellaine.r.james@usace.army.mil with soliciation no. referenced in the subject line.
