Description

The U.S. Maritime Administration, Division of Atlantic Operations Contracts Office, has a requirement for tugs to provide harbor support services and ship handling for the Hampton Roads region, including James River Reserve Fleet near Fort Eustis, Virginia, Norfolk Naval Station, Norfolk International Terminal, Craney Island, Hospital Point, Lamberts Point, Thimble Shoals, Southern and Eastern Branches of the Elizabeth River and Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Cheatham Annex, York River and Cape Henry. The RFQ and any related documents for this procurement will be available for downloading on the Federal Business Opportunities website on/about May 21, 2009. ATTENTION: Minority, Women-Owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs)! The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts. Maximum line of credit is $750,000 with interest at the prime rate, as published daily in the Wall Street Journal, plus 1.75 percent.
