- The United States Coast Guard Maintenance & Logistics Command, Atlantic intends to issue a Commercial Request for Quote (RFQ) for Dockside repairs to the USCGC DECISIVE (WMEC-629) 210 FOOT MEDIUM ENDURANCE CUTTER. Work will be conducted onboard the vessel located at 100 Singing River Island, Pascagoula, MS 39595. The Coast Guard intends to conduct the procurement in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The simplified acquisition will be issued as a Small Business Set-Aside Competition, Request for Quotes (RFQ), on or about May 26, 2009. The solicitation will be issued electronically via the Federal Business Opportunity web page at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. It is incumbent upon contractors to monitor the FEDBIZOPS web page for the RFQ release and all subsequent amendments. Hard copies of the specification and solicitation will not be issued. The NAICS Code is 336611. All work will be performed at the contractor’s facility. The performance period is schedule for FORTY-NINE (49) calendar days and is expected to begin on or about 14 September 2009. The scope of the acquisition will include, but is not limited to: 1.NDT Steam and Condensate Piping. 2.Flush Fuel Oil System Piping. 3.Renew Boiler Feedwater System Valves. 4.Inspect and Test Air Receivers and Relief Valves. 5.Renew Fan Coil Units. 6.Preserve Skid and Inspect RO Unit. 7.Preserve Bilge Surfaces. 8.Overhaul Hydraulic Pump Unit. 9.Port and Stbd Anchor Windlass Maintenance. 10.Perform Warping Capstan Maintenance. 11.Modify Welin Lambie TW PIV 5.0B Davit Arrangement. 12.Modify Allied D5700CT Single Point Davit Arrangement. 13.Renew Counter Top, Storage Cabinets, and Sink. 14.Remove, Inspect, and Polish Fixed Windows. 15.Resurface and Reseal Deck Covering Systems. 16.Reseal Latex Terrazzo and Cosmetic Polymeric Deck Covering Systems. A CD-ROM containing all applicable drawings will be sent via U.S. mail, if requested. The CD-ROM(s) contain WINDOWS compliant raster/vector formats (e.g.*.DWF, etc). Trained welders who have been certified by the applicable regulatory code performance qualification procedures shall accomplish all welding and brazing.
