- This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A BRAND NAME contract for Waldemar Model 403-7-6 Four-roll double pinch plate bending machine using Federal Acquision Regulation FAR Part 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. This will be an acquisition under the authority of the test program for commercial items section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996. The US Army Research, Development and Engineering Command Contracting Center, Aberdeen Installation Contracting Division, 4118 Susquehanna Avenue, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005-3013 has a requirement to procure the following items: CLIN 0001 1 each Waldemar Model 403-7-6 Four-roll Double Pinch Plate Bending Machine. The main frame and components are fabricated from structural steel plate and sections. The Machine is powered by a Central Hydraulic System. Specifications: Nominal Roll Diameter7 inch Rated Rolling Capacity9/32 inch Mild Steel Plate x 6 feet wide Motor5 HP, 230/460V/3 PH Dimensions136 inch L x 48 inch W x 41 inch H Aproximate Weight8,500 lbs. Standard Features: 1045 Steel Rolls machined to 63 micro inches Total Hydraulic Operation Instant Start-Stop-Reverse Roll Speed Infinitely Variable 1 to 22 FPM Two roll drive 3 Phase 230/460 Volt Electrics to NFPA-79 Specifications 120 Volt Control circuit Safety Interlock on electrical Cabinet Safety/Emergency stop Cable on 3 Sides of Machine Overload Protected TEFC Main Motor Quiet Hydraulic System V.O.C Compliant Haze Gray Epoxy and Blue Enamel Finish Sealed Spherical Roller Bearings on all Main Points CLIN 0002 1 each Cone Attachment CLIN 00031 each Electrical push button to control all hydraulic directional functions instead of the manual valves, mounted in Pendant. The intended delivery date for the items is July 6, 2009. The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 332313 and the Business Size Standard is 500 employees. All responses received within ten (10) days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 2:00 PM DST Eastern Time, Monday, June 1, 2009. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements.
