NSN(s): 4730-00-630-0310 Item Description: COUPLING HALF, QPL MIL-C-21-49F P/N MS22068-7 SOLICITATION IS RFP WITH ANTICIPATED AWARD DATE OF APPROXIMATELY 30 DAYS AFTER CLOSING DATE. THIS SOLICITATION WILL BE AVAILABLE ON THE INTERNET AT HTTP:111WWW.DSCC.DLA.MIL/RFQ/, ON OR ABOUT 15 DAYS AFTER THIS NOTICE IS PUBLISED. THE PROPSED PROCURMENT CONTANIS AN OPTION TO EXTEND THE CONTRACT PERIOD ONE OR MORE TIMES AT THE DISCRETION OF THE GOVERNMENT. THE TOTAL SHALL NOT EXECEED BASE YEAR AND (5) OPTION YEARS. THIS IS AN UNRESTRICTED ACQUIISITION. WHILE PRICE MAY BE A SIGNIFICANT FACTOR IN THE EVAUATION FACTOR OF OFFERS, THE FINAL AWARD DECISION WILL BE BASED UPON A COMBINATION OF PRICE DELIVERY PAST PERFORMANCE AND AND OTHER EVALUATION FACTOR AS DESCRIPTED IN THE SOLICITATION. All responsible sources may submit an offer/quote which shall be considered. See Note the following notes below (9,12, 13,23) 9. Interested parties may obtain copies of Military and Federal Specifications and Standards, Qualified Product Lists, Military Handbooks, and other standardization documents from the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP), in Philadelphia, PA. Most documents are available in Adobe PDF format from the ASSIST database via the Internet at http://assist.daps.mil. Users may search for documents using the ASSIST-Quick Search and, in most cases, download the documents directly via the Internet using standard browser software. Documents not available for downloading from ASSIST can be ordered from the DODSSP using the ASSIST Shopping Wizard, after establishing a DODSSP Customer Account by following the registration procedures or by phoning the DoDSSP Special Assistance Desk at (215) 697-2179 (DSN: 442-2179). One or more of the items under this acquisition may be subject to Agreement on Government Procurement approved and implemented in the United States by the Trade Agreements Act of 1979. All offers shall be in the English language and in U.S. Dollars. All interested suppliers may submit an offer. 23. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service or the manufacturer meets qualification requirement at time of award, in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1 or 52.209-2. The solicitation identifies the office where additional information can be obtained concerning qualification requirements is cited in each individual solicitation The solicitation will be available in FedBizOpps on or about 5 June 2009. The proposed procurement contains an option to extend the contract period one or more times at the discretion of the government. The total duration (base plus option years) shall not exceed (5) years. This proposed procurement includes a family group of items within the Federal Supply Class 4730 This acquisition is for supplies for which the Government does not possess complete, unrestrictive technical data; therefore, the Government intends to solicit and contract with only approved sources under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Approved sources are: Essex Industries. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation.
