- Description
- Synopsis: The Architect of Capitol (AOC) has a requirement for the delivery, assembly, training, and installation of one (1) Power Folding Machine to perform the function of both standard and box & pan fabrication of sheet metal. THE POWER FOLDING MACHINE SHALL MEET OR EXCEED THE FOLLOWING SPECIFICATIONS. Technical/Product Specifications (CIDAN Folding Machine FUTURA PLUS or equal): Combi clamping beam with 4.92" high divided rail Clamping beam with straight rail 30 degree Motorized back gauge 60" in length Graphic CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Folding beam rails.59" and 1.18" with quick clamping Twin drive folding beam Manual crowning of folding beam Frequency controlled folding movement Motorized adjustment of sheet thickness 102" folding length Folding capacity of 10 ga. steel, 13 ga. stainless steel,.197" aluminum Clamping beam of not less then 3 hp. motor Folding beam of not less then two 2 hp. motors Weight of machine shall not exceed 10,000 lbs. Shipping & Delivery Requirements: The Power Folding Machine shall be shipped FOB destination to the U.S. Capitol in crate sizes not to exceed 125" X 53" X 72" HIGH (to accommodate delivery via freight elevator). Delivery shall occur prior to December 31, 2009. Installation: The Power Folding Machine shall be delivered, assembled, and installed in strict accordance with the manufacturers instructions and recommendations in a location designated by the AOC or its designated representative in (Sheet Metal) Room HM1L1 of the U.S. Capitol. Training/Instruction Manuals: Upon installation and AOC acceptance of the above referenced machinery, the successful offeror shall provide one (1) on site training session at the U.S. Capitol. Except as otherwise agreed to by the AOC in writing, such training shall be scheduled within ten (10) business days upon completion of the installation and shall be accomplished within one (1) eight (8) hour business day. This training shall include in depth instruction on all operational, maintenance, and functionality aspects of the Power Folding Machine. The solicitation is unrestricted (full and open competition) and will be issued on or about June 5, 2009. The due date for the receipt of proposals will be on or about July 6, 2009. The solicitation will be available electronically at http://www.aoc.gov/business/procure-opps.cfm on the date of issuance. INTERESTED PARTIES ARE ENCOURAGED TO DOWNLOAD THE ELECTONIC VERSION AS THIS WILL EXPEDITE RECEIPT OF THE SOLICITATION. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE OFFEROR TO MONITOR THIS SITE AND THE AOC WEB SITE FOR ALL CHANGES.
