- Description
- This firm fixed price award is against a previously existing multiple award SABER IDIQ contract competed under the 8(a) set-a-side program. The contract shall perform all services necessary to accomplish complete and functional installation of the proposed project. The work shall be accomplished in accordance with the SABER contract specifications, associated drawings and additional requirements of the task order statement of work. REQUIREMENT: The Contractor shall provide all labor, material, equipment and incidentals necessary to install a 5' wide sidewalk on and around base in area 1, 2, 3 & 4,as shown on attached drawings. Contractor to relocate existing irrigation supply line to run alongside sidewalk. Major items of work shall consist of: 01 - Site work : Work will include excavating soil to a depth of 8" in location of new sidewalk. Excavated soil that will not be reused will be dumped at the dirt pile at the north end of the runway. Once excavation is completed, compact the existing soil. Cover with 4" of compacted engineered fill. 02 - New Sidewalk: New sidewalk with be constructed of 3,000 psi concrete and will be 5' wide and 4" thick. Expansion joints will be placed every 100'. Fiber board will be placed at all expansion joints and were sidewalk meets existing sidewalks. Sidewalk will have a light broomed finish and curing compound will be applied. 03 - Sodding/Seeding: Once sidewalk has been completed backfill along the length to transition elevation to existing. Prep area and install new sod or seed. 04 - Retaining Wall: Parts of area 1 and 2 will require the installation of CMU block retaining wall. 05- Sprinklers : There are some areas in Area 4 that contain sprinklers. Contractor is to abandon in place the existing supply line that is located in area of new sidewalk. Install new supply lines and heads along new sidewalk
