- Description
- RECOVERY PROJECT - Construction Project 644-09-104, Patient Wards Phase II, Building One, Carl T. Hayden VA Medical Center. The Phoenix VA Healthcare System (PVAHCS), Phoenix Arizona, intends to issue a solicitation requesting bids to provide all work shown on the drawings and included in the specifications. Work includes, but is not limited to: Removal of specified windows and doors, and install new fixed aluminum frame & hollow metal windows and aluminum automatic sliding doors as indicated on drawings and specifications. Disconnect and reconnect of the power supply to the automatic doors will be required, along with sealing and caulking of perimeters & joints, as well as repairing floor, wall, and ceiling finishes. Performance Period is 180 calendar days after receiving Notice to Proceed. Complete drawings and specifications will be included in the solicitation document that will be available on FedBizOpps on or about June 4, 2009. Interested parties are strongly encouraged to attend a site visit on Monday, June 8, 2009 at 9:00 am at PVAHCS, Fairmount Bldg, 4001 N. 3rd St,, room 340. All bidders/contractors are strongly urged to attend as there will only be ONE Pre-Bid Conference/Site Visit for this project. Due to anticipated response and limited space, please limit the number of attendees in your group. Contractors shall contact Justin Hicks, Contract Specialist, to indicate their interest in attending the Pre-Bid Conference/Site Visit. Requests, in the form of an e-mail message to Justin.Hicks@va.gov, must be received by the Contracting Officer no later than Friday, May 29, 2009 at 2:00 p.m local time. Solicitation responses will be due in the Contracting Office no later than Monday, July 8, 2009 at 2:00 pm local time. The bid opening will be held at PVAHCS, Fairmount Bldg, 4001 N. 3rd St., room 340 - Ira Hayes Conference Room (Bid Room), Phoenix, AZ 85012. Bid submissions shall be in hardcopies. Telegraphic, email, and facsimile bids ARE PROHIBITED. This project requires the bidders/contractors to secure bonding. All bidders shall be registered and verified in the www.ccr.gov and www.vetbiz.gov and https://orca.bpn.gov/ in order to be eligible for award. This procurement is 100 percent set aside for Service-Disabled, Veteran-Owned, Small Business (SDVOSB). The NAICS code is 236220. The associated size standard for this procurement is $33.5 million dollars in average gross annual receipts for the preceding three years. Project Magnitude: Between $250,000 and $500,000. Award is subject to availability of funding.
