- Title: Applied BioSystems QTRAP 5500 Mass Spectrometer Accessories/Options The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to award a non-competitive, firm fixed price, sole source contract to Applied Biosystems (AB) 850 Lincoln Centre Drive, Foster City, CA 94404 under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source Available. The FBI requires the following accessories/options to be compatible with AB Sciex QTRAP 5500 mass spectrometer: AB Part Number Quantity Description 1034553 1 Roughing Pump N020-0514 3 days Onsite consultation 1034702 1 Lightsight 2.1 Software 800-L 1 Direct Analysis in Real Time Interface These options/accessories can only be purchased from Applied Biosystems as the Sciex QTRAP 5500 Mass Spectrometer is a proprietary product of Applied Biosystems and any modifications, installation, or customization must be managed by Applied Biosystems to ensure compatibility. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement or submit quotes to this office by 12:00 PM, EST, Tuesday, May 26, 2009, via facsimile to the attention of Mrs. Dina Olibah, Contract Specialist, at (703) 814-4787 or by e-mail at Dina.Olibah@ic.fbi.gov. All document submitted in response to this announcement shall reference LDQ002029. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This contract will be awarded as a commercial item in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation, Parts 12 and 13. All contractors anticipating award, must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration Database.
