Description
Recovery Act - VAMC Beckley, WV is seeking the services of a qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business who has proven experience in building renovation to complete Recovery Act Steam Pipe Replacement II at the VA Medical Center, Beckley, WV. Work will include but not limited to general and mechanical trades. Contractor will provide all labor, materials, transportation, equipment and supervision for this project. All work shall be completed in accordance with all Federal, State and OSHA regulations. This procurement is 100% set aside for service disabled veteran owned small businesses. The NAICS code for this procurement is 238220 with a small business size standard of $14.0 M. This is a competitively negotiated project. The contract will be awarded using Best Value source selection process full instruction will be included in the solicitation package. Award may be made without discussions. Firms will submit two proposals, one will address technical capabilities (including proof from the surety of bonding capacity and evidence of past performance). The prime contractor must have been involved directly with the project (performing actual on-site work in addition to Supervision). The second proposal shall address pricing. All work shall be completed within 270 calendar days after receipt of notice to proceed. This includes final inspection and clean up. The estimated dollar value of this procurement is between $1,000,000.00 and $2,000,000.00. The specifications will be uploaded on/about June 2, 2009; the proposal due date will be on/about July 6, 2009. Firms must request the drawings in writing which will be provided on a CD, solicitation document shall be downloaded from www.fedbizopps.gov. Firms requesting drawings must be registered SDVOSB at both Central Contractor Registry and Vet Biz, please provide your D&B number for verification of registration. Telephone requests or questions will not be honored. Faxed requests may be sent to Contracting Officer at 304-256-5192. Pre-proposal conference will be held on June 16, 2009 at 1:00 PM no other visitation opportunities will be available. All questions shall be submitted in writing no later than June23, 2009 in writing, questions will be answered via amendment in writing and publically announced.
