Description
The Virginia Contracting Activity is seeking small business Hub-Zone or Veteran Owned sources to provide Office Relocation Planning and Execution services for the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) Relocation Planning and Execution. The anticipated project involves planning, managing and possible execution of a complex office relocation involving approximately 2,600 personnel from multiple locations in the National Capital Region to a new BRAC facility at Quantico Marine Corps Base. The requirement includes handling and transporting of material and other items and will require security clearances for key personnel and also classified facility clearances. Furniture, IT equipment and general equipment relocation and installation however, will not be included. The current estimated timeframe for execution of the physical moves will be August 2010 to September 2011. Additionally, interested sources should have the capability to provide a sufficiently sized integrated team of qualified office relocation planning/management personnel to work simultaneously at two or more locations. Experience within the last five years creating office relocation plans, managing the execution of phased large office moves on a minimum order of magnitude of 1,000 total personnel in secure facilities is preferable. This is not an RFP, no cost estimates are requested and the Government will not pay the costs for submission of capabilities information. Any interested parties must submit capabilities information no later than 15 June 2009. Submissions must be submitted in 12 font, Times New Roman and may not exceed ten pages. Information should be submitted by email to the following address: Jacquelyn.connell2@dia.mil.
