- Description
- The National Park Service is seeking a contractor to furnish all materials, labor, transportation and equipment necessary to perform pothole repair, spot leveling with hot bituminous pavement, the application of a 1" overlay of hot bituminous pavement, and the application of new and restripe traffic markings on a 5 mile section within Wayne and Lawrence Counties, Tennessee on the Natchez Trace Parkway, a unit of the National Park Service. This section will receive a 1" overlay and new traffic markings. Bid quantities are as follows: 4,150 tons of hot bituminous pavement; 3.33 miles new 4" wide solid yellow no passing stripe (90 mil); 3.58 miles new 4" wide broken yellow centerline stripe (90 mil); and 8.74 miles new 4" wide solid white edge stripe (40 mil), 16.203 miles of restriping 4" wide solid yellow no passing stripe (40 mil), 18.83 miles of restriping 4" wide broken yellow centerline stripe (40 mil), 44.676 miles of restriping 4" wide solid white edge stripe (40 mil). This notice is not the solicitation. The solicitation package will be available on or about June 1, 2009, with original bids due on or about July 1, 2009 (see solicitation for exact date bids are due). The solicitation will be issued as an Invitation for Bids electronically on the Department of Interior's National Business Center (NBC) web site, at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be made available. The Standard Form 1442 is available at the website by clicking on the "printer friendly form" link. The remainder of the solicitation (including all pertinent attachments) is available at the site by clicking on the link "clauses and attachments," which is located in the blue box near the middle of the screen. Bidders wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of this specific solicitation at http://ideas.nbc.gov. Contract award is anticipated to occur in time for pavement operations to commence in early Fall, 2009. Work shall be concluded within 60 days of the start date. Magnitude of this project is $500,000 to $650,000. Procurement is being conducted under full and open competition procedures. The applicable NAICS code for this project is 237310 with a size standard of $31.0 million.
