- This acquisition is for a recurring requirement for refrigerant gel packs to support the Cold Chain Packaging Program within DDC. The DDC utilizes two refrigerant gel pack sizes (8 inch x 6 inch x 1 ¼ inch 24 oz. and 10 ¼ inch x 8 inch x 1 ½ inch 48 oz.) which provide non-mechanical refrigeration for the safe transportation/shipment of temperature-sensitive medical products requirement refrigerated or freeze environments. These packs will be utilized by several CONUS and OCONUS Defense Distribution Depots. The Government intends to award a requirements contract to accomplish the procurement. Individual task orders will be placed against the resulting contract and delivery will be completed in accordance with each task order. This acquisition is set aside for small business. The applicable NAICS code is 312113. All interested responsible parties may submit a proposal that will be considered by the Defense Distribution Center. The solicitation number is SP3300-09-R-0025 and it will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities website on or about the week of June 15, 2009. Prospective offerors are cautioned concerning their responsibility to access the FedBizOpps website for this solicitation and any amendments that may be issued under this RFP. There will be no advance notification of amendment issuance. Prospective offerors are advised to consult the website frequently to check for any amendments. Failure to acknowledge amendments may render your offer ineligible for award.
