- (RECOVERY ACT) The National Institute on Aging, IRP, intends to negotiate and award a purchase order on a competitive basis for the purchase of equipment under Simplified Acquisition procedures. This notice may represent the only official notice. The Laboratory of Genetics at the National Institute on Aging intends to procure the following equipment: Array Scan VTI High Content Screen Reader. This equipment will be used to screen large numbers of small interfering RNA (siRNA) molecules for effects on cultured cells in real time using live cell imaging in an automated fashion. This is a solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 16.2 using competitive procedures. These procedures include those identified under Subparts 6.1, 6.2 (Full and Open Competition and Full and Open Competition after Exclusions of Sources), and FAR Section 16.505(b)(1). The solicitation number is RFQ105 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions clauses are those in which the FAR has amended to incorporate for use in Recovery Act actions FAR subpart 5.7 for pre-solicitation and award notices. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 423450 and the business size standard is 100. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to this requirement by 4:30 pm on May 27th, 2009.
