- Solicitation Amendment 1 Description: This service project consists of road decommissioning by recontouring and decompacting, as well as soil restoration on the Clearwater Ranger District. Work includes drainage maintenance, subgrade scarification, road obliteration, seeding and hand straw mulching and miscellaneous related work. Approximately 22 miles of old road will be treated. The project is located approximately 9.7 miles east of Grangeville via State Highway 13 and Lightning Creek Road #244. Following Lightning Creek Road approximately 7.8 miles to Whitman Creek. The project is expected to begin approximately June 1, 2009 and be completed by October 31, 2009. Solicitation was issued on April 21, 2009. Faxed offers will not be accepted. This is a service project; no bonding is required. Solicitation was amended on 5/18/09 to correct a mistake in the Supplemental Project Specifications and response date was extended. Offerors must acknowledge receipt of this amendment in their offer.
