Description
The U.S. Army Research and Development Center is conducting a market surveyto identify potential sources to provide parts and labor for conversion of standard alarm system components to explosion roof components within B1029,operated by the Energetic Materials Analysis Branch of the Energetics Producibility and Manufacturing Technology Division. The contractor must be able to provide and install as follows: 4 standard smoke detectors will be replaced with 4 Class 1,Division 2 Groups A, B, C & D smoke detectors.1 standard pull stations will be replaced with 3 Class 1,Division 2 Groups C & D pull stations.1 standard horn/strobes will be replaced with 3 Class 1,Division 2 Groups C & D horn/strobes.Add a standard flow switch to the fire alarm panel. The contractor must be able to install the necessary equipment and wiring in accordance with Picatinny fire code. All wiring and site criteria will meet the specifications as outlined under the current fire alarm contract. All responding sources shall provide a summary of the company capabilities including organization, name/address/point of contact identification, a description of facilities/equipment, inspection and qualification capability, personnel, past experience, possible partnering/teaming arrangements; and whether the company is small or large business. The market survey is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the Government. The Government will utilize information provided for planning purposes only. All information submitted will be provided at no cost to the Government and will be held in confidential status. The contractor shall provide all information requested in the notification within 5 days of this publication by electronic mail to Marcus.Edmundson@us.army.mil. This announcement is for informational planning purposes only, and does not constitute a Request for Proposal, nor does it obligate the Government to issue a Request for Proposal. No award will be made as a result of this market survey. All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the Government. The Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this survey.
