- Request for Quote Enterprise Web Proxy Cache Attachment 1 Request for Quote Enterprise Web Proxy Cache The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is seeking to provide policy-based Web security and content filter delivery along with enterprise caching capability to efficiently reduce the amount of Internet bandwidth utilized by USPTO’s user base. USPTO plans to continue utilizing an Enterprise Web Proxy-Cache (EWPC) system for URL content filtering, malicious code protection, bandwidth management, and US-CERT response and compliance. The EWPC will also be used to implement and enforce USPTO security policies by allowing USPTO to allow, deny, limit and log web requests and generate usage reports for review by management using a web-based reporting tool. The USPTO is seeking a commercial item EWPC COTS product that reduces risks associated with employee Internet use and helps reduce legal liabilities, and limits exposure to security risks such as viruses and malware, while increasing productivity and preserving bandwidth for business related activities.
