Description
The Olympic National Forest intends to acquire by contract the replacement of water tanks at the Coho Campground. This is an expedited procurement due to urgency. The water tanks are the source for potable water at the campground. Project consists of the following major items of work: supplying and erecting a 7500 gallon precast concrete water tank; and all appurtenant plumbing to connect the tank to the existing waterlines from the well house to the Coho Campground distribution line. Existing control cables and conduit will have to be extended to the new tank location were the floats, j-box and float mounting system shall be installed. Prefered Supplier for precast tank is Hanson Pipe and Precast. Prefered Supplier for assemble is Snell Crane. This project is located near Coho Campground on Lake Wynoocheeon the Hood Canal Ranger District of the Olympic National Forest, Section 17, Township 22 North, Range 7 West, W.M., in/near Montesano, Washington. It may be reached by traveling north from Montesano, Washington, on Wynoochee Valley Road for approximately 16 miles to the end of the pavement; thence continuing on the unpaved road (Forest Road 22) for approximately 20 miles to the junction with Forest Road 2294; thence approximately 2 miles to Coho Campground. Continue past Coho Campground to Forest Road 2294280 wich is the access road to the existing pump house and tank site. Period for performance is from contract award to June 30, 2009. Project Manager is Mr. Roland Watson, 360-956-2317. The government will proceed to issue a solicitation as a Request for Proposals. This acquisition is 100 percent set-aside for HUBZone small business concerns. Offerors will be evaluated on price, experience, and past performance. Contract award will be to the offeror whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, is the best value to the government. The government estimated value is between $25,000 and $100,000. Payment protection is required for this project. Davis-Bacon wage rates apply to any resulting contract. The proposed contract-type is firm-fixed price. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the government. In accordance with FAR 4.1102(a), prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a contract. Lack of registration in the CCR on the part of the offeror will render an offeror ineligible for award.
