- Specifications The Bureau of the Census is issuing this notice as a combined synopsis / solicitation for the purchase of corrugated containers, 11-1/2 inch X 9-1/8 inch X 8 inch, 275 pound test, b flute, in accordance with the attached specifications. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation: proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation 51-SO-BC-9-00102 is issued as a Request For Quote. This solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 2005-32 dated 14-May-2009. This award is set aside for small business. NACIS code 322211, Size standard 500 employees. CLIN001 corrugated containers, 11-1/2 inch X 9-1/8 inch X 8 inch, 275-pound test, b flute, printing – black ink, in accordance with the attached specifications. Quantity 50,000 boxes. CLIN002 Quantity variation of no more than plus or minus 10% of CLIN001, quantity plus or minus 5000. CLIN 003 Cutting die one (1) each. CLIN004 Printing die one (1) each. (Dies will become U.S. Census property after delivery of cartons. Include shipping charges to send dies to the acceptance location in die cost.) Packaging bundled or banded 25 cartons, palletized on wooden pallets, with a total height not to exceed 48”. Delivery is FOB destination to the Bureau of the Census, 700 Patrol Road, Jeffersonville, IN 47130, Attn: Receiving Section. Acceptance at same location. Delivery 10-Jun-2009. The U. S. Census Bureau anticipates one award resulting from this notice. Award will be made to the responsive, responsible offeror meeting all specifications and requirements. All corrugated boxes must meet FBA and PMMI tolerances for corrugated containers. Boxes that do not meet these recognized tolerances will be returned for immediate replacement or credit. (FBA = Fibre Box Association, www.fibrebox.org, PMMI - Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute, www.pmmi.org) Awardees will have to be registered at CCR.gov and complete a U.S. Census Bureau vendor registration form. The following provisions and clauses apply to this RFQ. 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, 52.212-2, Evalutions-Commerical Items, 52-212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commerical Items, 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commerical Items, 52-214-20, Bid Samples (Apr. 2002), and 52-225-1, Buy American Act Supplies (June 2003). Be sure to include all shipping and handling charges to the delivery location. Bids are due by 5:00 PM on 21-May-2009.
