- Description
- The VISN 10 Contracting Activity located at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center is in need of Architect/Engineer Services to provide all services to prepare complete construction documents as required for the accomplishment of project 541-10-1004 "Energy Conservation Upgrades" at the Louis Stokes VA Medical Center (Wade Park Campus), Cleveland, Ohio. The construction documents shall consist of contract drawings, technical specifications, design analysis, detail estimates and projected construction schedules. The project will consist of renovating, installing, evaluating, repairing, and replacing lighting fixtures, boiler plant, waterside economizer, occupancy sensors, steam traps, HVAC systems, and condenser pump. The AE firm shall comply with the latest NFPA, NEC, ADA, and Life Safety Codes, VA Design Criteria, Construction standards, and other required documents that can be obtained online at: (http://www.va.gov/facmgt/standard). The estimated construction cost range is between $2,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The geographical limitation for consideration is limited to within 50 miles driving distance (using Google Maps) from the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. Firms located outside the geographical area will not be considered. Qualified A/E firms desiring consideration must submit three copies of Standard Form (SF 330), to the Louis Stokes Department of Veteran Affairs, Attn: Don Marsh, Mail Stop 90 C (B), 10000 Brecksville Road, Brecksville OH 44141, no later than close of business June 18, 2009. Selection criteria will be based on 1) Team experience proposed for this project, 2) previous experience of proposed team members, 3) proposed management plan, 4) location and facilities of working office, 5) proposed approach for handling multiple delivery orders for design and quality control, 6) project control, 7) estimating effectiveness, 8) sustainable design, 9) miscellaneous experience and capabilities, 10) awards, and 11) insurance and litigation. Any requests for additional information on this project must be submitted in writing to the Contracting Officer. Award of a contract is subject to availability of funds. This IS NOT a request for proposals and a solicitation document DOES NOT exist. The NAICS Code is 541310, and the Size Standard is $4.5 Million.
