Description
The Montana/Dakota Bureau of Land Management, South Dakota Field Office needs forest and fuels inventory data to determine forest health, composition, structure, and fuel loading. The information will be used for landscape-level planning purposes and stand specific prescriptions. The contract is for forest and fuels inventory activities on BLM lands in the Exemption area near Lead and Deadwood, Lawrence County, South Dakota. The work will require locating plot centers from BLM-provided coordinates; measuring and recording data; taking digital plot photos; providing walkthrough (W-T) information and summary information for polygons. All data and information will be collected and submitted to BLM in digital and hardcopy format. This contract will be quoted as one (1) job. Estimated price range is between $25,000 and $100,000. No site tour is scheduled. The tentative period of performance will be 6/4/2009 - 10/1/2009, or 119 days after issuance of the notice to proceed. The Request for Quote (RFQ) will be posted on/about June 2, 2009. No hard copies of the solicitation will be sent out by this office and will be available at "www.fedconnect.net". Vendors are required to go to FedConnect to pull off the RFQ information. Response date for quotes will be on/about July 1, 2009. Prospective contractors must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and Online Representations and Certifications (ORCA) prior to award. Lack of registration in the CCR and ORCA databases will make an offeror ineligible for award. Information on CCR registration can be obtained via the internet at http://www.ccr.gov", and Annual Representations and Certifications (ORCA) online at "http://orca.bpn.gov". This is set aside for Small Business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 115310. Small Business Size standard is $7. million.
