- Description
- The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD), The Imaging Section, Corporate Communications Branch (Code 3810) has a requirement for Sony HDV Videocassette Recorders and Sony Format Converter Boards for the HVR-1500A. NAICS code 334513. NSWCCD intends to negotiate a non-competitive procurement with the Sony Electronics Inc., of Park Ridge, NJ under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), Only one responsible source and no other supplier of services will satisfy agency requirements. Sony HVR 1500A is the only VTR that offers DVCAM recording and playback and is able to convert DV recordings to 1080i or 720p and has both HDSDI inputs and outputs. Sony HVR 1500A is compatible with video used at this time. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responsible sources submitting proposals within 15 days after da! te of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Anticipated award date is on or around 06/01/09. Interested parties may forward capabilities statements to the point of contact no later than 5/29/09.
