- Description
- The National Park Service is seeking a contractor to furnish all materials, labor, transportation and equipment necessary to mill, double chip and seal approximately.63 miles in the Headquarters Picnic Area and approximately 1.4 miles in the Headquarters Campground area within Edmonson County in Mammoth Cave National Park, Mammoth Cave, Kentucky. The solicitation will also include bid additives for the application of a 1" asphalt overlay at the Headquarters Picnic Area (.63 miles) and a 1" asphalt overlay at the Headquarters Campground Area and pullouts (2.00). All distances are estimates and provided for informational purposes only. Contract award is anticipated to occur in time for pavement operations to commence in early Fall, 2009. Work shall be concluded within 60 days of the start date. Magnitude of this project is $150,000 to $200,000. Procurement is being conducted under full and open competition procedures. The applicable NAICS code for this project is 237310 with a size standard of $31.0 million. This notice is not the solicitation. The solicitation package will be available on or about June 1, 2009, with original bids due on or about July 1, 2009 (see solicitation for exact date bids are due). The solicitation will be issued as an Invitation for Bids electronically on the Department of Interior's National Business Center (NBC) web site, at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be made available. The Standard Form 1442 is available at the website by clicking on the "printer friendly form" link. The remainder of the solicitation (including all pertinent attachments) is available at the site by clicking on the link "clauses and attachments," which is located in the blue box near the middle of the screen. Bidders wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of this specific solicitation at http://ideas.nbc.gov.
