- PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE FOR the Construct Additional Parking and Utilities at the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center, Iron Mountain, MI. Contractor shall provide for and furnish all labor, materials, equipment, temporary protection, qualified supervision, for Additional Parking and Utilities at the VA Medical Center Iron Mountain, Michigan. Work includes for the installation of new exterior lighting, sidewalks, landscaping, storm water swales, 12 motor cycle parking spaces and installation of 136 new parking space and roadway on the Campus of the VA Medical Center Iron Mountain as outlined in the contract specifications and as shown on the contract drawings. This construction project is set-aside for Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSBs). All prospective contractors must be registered on the VetBiz website, www.vetbiz.gov, to be considered for award. The solicitation, specifications and drawings will be posted on Fedbizops. There will be pre-construction conference held for this project and all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-construction conference will be included in the solicitation packages. The solicitation will be issued on/about May 29, 2009 with the bid opening on/about June 30, 2009. The bidder is responsible to monitor and download any amendments from Fedbizops which may be issued to this solicitation. In accordance with Public Law 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Healthcare and Information Technology Act of 2006. Pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d), competition is restricted to VOSB construction firms. The project magnitude range is between $250,000 - $500,000. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 237310; size standard $33.5 Million applies. Time for completion is 90 days after Notice to Proceed. In accordance with FAR 52.204-7, Required Central Contractor Registration and in accordance with FAR 2.101, VAAR 802.101, VetBiz Registration, prospective firms must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and in the VetBiz databases prior to award. Firms may obtain CCR information at http://www.ccr.gov and VetBiz information at http://vip.vetbiz.gov.
